While these shows were part of what was called the "In the Flesh" tour, it would still be more than two years before that title became a song on The Wall (two, to be precise). This was the tour made in support of Animals which ended on July 6, 1977 in Montréal — the infamous concert with the Roger Waters spitting incident and small end-of-show riot that inspired part of the epic double album that was to come in 1979.

From what I ever heard of these concerts, there was no such trauma. When I moved to California in December 1977, people were still talking about these shows as if they were the greatest concerts in northern California since the area’s heyday in the 1960s.

The following video has the best-sounding audio from either of these shows I have ever heard. Calling it from "the Mr. Pig Tour" is not officially correct but probably spread among fans in those times when word-of-mouth ruled the day. I’m not certain if the video source matches the May 9th date but it’s still probably close to how most people in the audience saw the show anyway. :^D

Don’t despair if you see the plain, grey YouTube screen below instead of the usual preview frame. Click the play button and it should run as normal.
