Comparing the esteemed Mr. Bird’s postcard and information to Google Maps Street View, there is a bit of old and new in how this motel looks today. In addition to an address revision from the old 40-44 Saranac Avenue, the bare wood is gone with the white with green trim having taken over all of the buildings. The old neon sign is gone having been replaced by a better-than-most wood sign now showing the current Town House Lodge name. Despite all that, the property still looks solidly mid-20th century, is immaculately kept, and has very consistent good reviews.
